Salary: Grade 6, £30,811 - £32,693 per annum, pro rata Approx £27,299 - £28,967 per annum (0.88602FTE)

Join our Bishop’s Stortford school community as a Senior Administrator and play a key role in supporting families, staff and students throughout the admissions and recruitment journey.

You will take ownership of key processes, contribute to effective communication across the school and help ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Alongside leading high-quality administrative support, you will work closely with school leaders and external partners to uphold our commitment to excellent service.

What will you do?

  • Oversee and administer all school admissions processes, ensuring compliance with statutory codes, maintaining accurate records, and managing communications with prospective and current families.
  • Coordinate and deliver school-level recruitment administration, including coordinating activities on our applicant tracking system and managing school-side activities related to interviews and induction.
  • Maintain accurate student, parent and staff data across key systems, providing reports and supporting statutory returns such as the Census.
  • Support appeals, consultations, transition activities, recruitment fairs, open events, and multi-agency meetings, ensuring all documentation and follow-up actions are completed.
  • Contribute to effective school operations by line-managing administrative staff, supporting colleagues, attending required meetings and events, and ensuring high standards of confidentiality and compliance.

  • Ability to plan and implement effective actions to support students with poor attendance or punctuality.
  • Highly organised with good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in working practices and the ability to use their initiative.
  • Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, students and parents and work as part of a team
